Probate, Trust, and Guardianship Litigation Assistant

Widerman Malek, PL is seeking an experienced Probate, Trust, and Guardianship Litigation Assistant to join their team in its Melbourne, Florida office. The ideal Legal Assistant has 3+ years of Probate, Trust, and Guardianship litigation experience and exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, reviewing and finalizing legal documents
  • Working directly with clients to gather and organize information
  • Managing case files
  • Speaking with new and existing clients on the phone and in person
  • Scheduling consultations and maintaining calendars for the department
  • Scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, etc.
  • Filing, faxing, emailing, and scanning documents
  • Communicating with other legal professionals
  • Maintaining electronic docket system
  • Performing special projects, as needed
  • Answering telephones cordially
  • Assisting with administrative duties
  • Filing documents with the Court
  • Aid in preparation for trials and evidentiary hearings
  • Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail at all times

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience preferably in probate, trust and/or estate

Job Type: Full-time
