On Monday, January 26, a delegation from the Brazil-Florida Chamber of Commerce (BFCC) visited the offices of Widerman Malek to begin planning for a trip by representatives from Widerman Malek to Brazil. Jefferson Michaelis, Ricardo Barbosa, Daivies Deivis Furlan, and Jasmine Staff of the BFCC joined Mark Malek and Dan Pierron of the firm in planning the trip. Tentatively scheduled for April 8-14, the trip will include presentations to be made in the cities of São Paulo, São José dos Campos, and Campenis to members of the technology industry, research universities, and Brazilian attorneys. The presentations will be focused on intellectual property considerations, corporate considerations and licensing considerations for Brazilian companies interested in entering the U.S. market. Widerman Malek thanks the BFCC for their overwhelming support and assistance in planning this trip.
