Alyssa Dimmick Velazquez is an associate attorney on the litigation team at Widerman Malek. Her developing practice focuses on business disputes, real estate matters, and mediation-driven solutions. With a background in law, finance, real estate, and nonprofit leadership, she approaches every case with strategic precision and practical insight.
Alyssa aims to serve as a trusted and versatile resource for local businesses and individuals, acting as a legal “Swiss Army Knife” capable of guiding clients through transactional issues and conflict resolution.
Alyssa earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law, graduating summa cum laude and ranking fourth in her class. During law school, she served as Vice President of the Federalist Society and Executive Editor of the Barry Law Review. She earned seven Book Awards for highest academic performance and was honored as “Member of the Year” by the Vassar B. Carlton American Inn of Court. She also gained early hands-on experience with Widerman Malek through an extended internship during her studies and is pursuing certification as a Florida County Court Mediator.
She combines her litigation background with real-world business and real estate experience to give clients practical guidance, not legal theory.
Before pursuing law, Alyssa graduated magna cum laude from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance and a Minor in Nonprofit Management. She was involved in Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity, and the Order of Omega Honor Society. She studied international business relations abroad at Queen Mary University of London during her undergraduate studies. Alyssa is also a Florida Supreme Court certified county court mediator and a licensed Florida REALTOR®, giving her additional perspective on real estate investments, negotiations, and client service.
Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, line dancing, and spending time on the boat or at the beach.
