Widerman Malek, PL is seeking an experienced Probate, Trust, and Guardianship Litigation Assistant to join their team in its Melbourne, Florida office. The ideal Legal Assistant has 3+ years of Probate, Trust, and Guardianship litigation experience and exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Preparing, reviewing and finalizing legal documents
- Working directly with clients to gather and organize information
- Managing case files
- Speaking with new and existing clients on the phone and in person
- Scheduling consultations and maintaining calendars for the department
- Scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, etc.
- Filing, faxing, emailing, and scanning documents
- Communicating with other legal professionals
- Maintaining electronic docket system
- Performing special projects, as needed
- Answering telephones cordially
- Assisting with administrative duties
- Filing documents with the Court
- Aid in preparation for trials and evidentiary hearings
- Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail at all times
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience preferably in probate, trust and/or estate
