Widerman Malek team members attended the Junior Achievement of the Space Coast Business Hall of Fame event on March 5, 2016. At the event, Harris Corporation chief executive officer Bill Brown and retired local attorney Bill Potter were inducted as laureates into the Business Hall of Fame. Widerman Malek managing partner, Mark Malek, was the keynote speaker at the event. Through an innovative partnership between the business community, educators, and volunteers, Junior Achievement of the Space Coast helps young people connect with relevant learning and the importance of staying in school, building a bridge between what kids learn in the classroom to how it is applied in the real world. JA inspires students to develop competitive skills and confidence. Their success bolsters the local workforce and contributes to economic growth. Widerman Malek supported Eckerd Kids at the Brevard County Walk of Fame event on March 12, 2016. Eckerd Kids is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit child and family service organizations. The organization has assisted more than 168,000 children since 1968. Eckerd helps public and private organizations by sharing best practices and advocating for system reform. Through its breadth and depth of services and commitment to quality outcomes, Eckerd has become the first name in second chances.
