The team at Widerman Malek currently has an opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join the firm. The ideal candidate will have demonstratable experience in family law and general civil litigation; filing pleadings/motions and other documents in state and federal court; coordinating and scheduling hearings with opposing counsel and the Court; and experience in drafting various types of notices and ancillary filings; correspondences with opposing counsel, the court and clients; drafting cover letters and summons; light drafting/shelling of motions/discovery responses and other various motions/pleadings experience is a plus.
Must be able to prioritize tasks independently as assigned by attorneys and ensure task completion in a timely manner; know the difference between billable and non-billable tasks for a paralegal; communicate with team members effectively and productively; and show up for work (be punctual) on time every day with a great attitude and team work mentality.
