Jonathan Staudt focuses his practice on prosecution, drafting, filing, and litigation of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other related intellectual property matters, including the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the United States Copyright Office. Jon counsels and represents a wide range of clients with their intellectual property legal needs, including trade secrets and unfair competition law. Jon is always passionately excited to help individual inventors, entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations obtain the help needed in all fields of endeavor and technology.

When Jon is not helping clients with their Intellectual Property needs, Jon is actively a part of starting and supporting the Cocoa Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group to attract and assist new professionals commence and creating their businesses and to encourage and facilitate the growth of the greater Cocoa, FL area.

Before joining the firm, Jon initially focused his career on electrical engineering at a global energy technology company, Siemens Energy. While working at Siemens, Jon helped with maintenance and research & development for the power plant commercial generators. After working in the energy industry and seeing the exposure clients could have in their intellectual property portfolios, he ultimately decided to use his knowledge to pivot into a legal role to help protect clients’ ideas, products, and businesses.

At the University of Central Florida, Jon was a Florida Bright Futures Academic Scholar, a merit award providing recipients with funding toward their first baccalaureate degree. Jon graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

At Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University College of Law, Jon obtained the book award in Contract Law for obtaining the highest final grade in the class, was awarded Dean’s list three times and graduated with honors – graduated cum laude.

Jon enjoys spending time improving his Tiny House he built while attending law school and applying his engineering background to further enhance it with inspiration from space-saving ideas and technology to maximize space and utilization.
